Celebration time!

Eid Mubarak to all our friends and visitors to this blog who are celebrating Eid Al Fitr.

تقبل الله منا ومنكم - may Allah accept from us, and from you. (I sincerely hope that the Arabic is correct, and now with Moryarti's input, I feel better that it is!)

Also:

Happy Diwali to all our friends and blog visitors who are also celebrating this time which, this year, coincides with Eid.

The festival of lights is one of M's fondest memories of Fiji!

A time of joy and celebration for many!

And Eid too! I hope our Muslim ladies in the Interfaith Women's group bring along some beautiful sawai (or is it samai) as a treat. I used to make it also, but don't have the ingredients at present.

SS: I hope that the Ramadan Kareem blog stays up and becomes active again next year! It is a very informative site. Looking forward to your next project too!

Wendy: Whatever it's called, it will be delicious! So cool to hear that you have an Interdenominational gathering of womenfolk - it would certainly ease the process of learning more about each other's faiths and nurture more tolerance towards religions other than your own.

DS: Yes, Diwali is a big thing in Fiji as there are a lot of Hindu people in the Indian population there. I believe that it's also a time which is celebrated by Sikhs too.

Moryarti: thanks so much for the help with the Arabic! I hope that all is going well in Kuwait with your family. Are Mrs M and Baby M with you too?

dxbluey: thank you for your wishes, and keep up the wonderful photography on your site. It's a joy to visit each day to see more of the UAE!

Gautam: sounds like you're set for a great time - enjoy!

Arshad: thanks for stopping by.

Buj, Aaron and Urbanite82: shukran and thank you!

Tainted: we would like to be, but in Berlin, it's very hard to find anything to do with Eid. We did have an Indian lunch on Sunday, and the owners of the restaurant are Muslim, so they were delighted when a couple of white girls wished them Eid Mubarak! They don't get much of that in Berlin!

Kaya: you're an angel! Thank you!
