I asked a waiter here in Japan if there were any Japanese Jews. He said, "I'm sorry. We have orange juice, tomato juice, and apple juice, but no Japanese juice."
Its amazing what people google isn't it? Someone in Japan googled Tu's place Nadi yesterday. Now why would they do that? and Someone in Germany googled "under water rugby"...!
PB: that's so bad that I laughed. I think that if you and Kaya got together that the world would be a much more irreverent place than before!
Seabee: I once did too, but I can't remember which one. It had the same impact on me as when I saw the Jesus and Nativity statues in the Al Wasl Spinneys!
Meg: sure is! I get a lot of people looking for directions to places around the UAE. I I was motivated enough, I would put links to directions in the side column, but I can't be arsed. Plus, with the roads continually changing as they do, the instructions would be out of date in a week!
CK: thanks!
Kaya: you and Pandabonium in the same room would be dangerous!
My word verification says paigyl and I suppose you think its funny calling me mad (paagal) and just for that your GYM FIRM BOOTY has been tagged. Nyah Nyah!
Islam, Judaism and Christianity are so similar in so many ways and have the same roots. But, the hatred and contempt their followers have for each other, is amazing and many times have caused the most suffering.
That hatred and contempt is not only between the 3 main religions, but between the different sects and branches of the 3 religions too.
Imagine: there is no Sunni mosque in Tehran. What has driven the violence and misery in Ireland, Lebanon and Iraq - has always been the perceived 'differences' between the religions. How wonderful it would be, if we Mankind would focus more on our sameness, similarities and what we share; the World would have been a much better and kinder plac to live in.

I've seen kosher food in a Dubai supermarket - I didn't have my camera unfortunately.

But if there was, I would like to think that it would be a symbol of some positive major acceptance and progress happening in the world.
So true, and very nicely said.
