Space Work over New Zealand

Cruising Rod Drury's blog tonight, I saw an amazing image of the International Space Station (ISS) passing over New Zealand.

The astronauts are out trying to fix the faulty port solar panel array.

A truly awesome shot. Above the station is the bottom half of the North Island. To the left of it is the top of the South Island.

We can see Nelson. Hi bros!

Click here for the high-res image from the Nasa website.

For more on the ISS, here's another link to info.

SS: so there is! There's more about him here.

Also, on this NZ website, the newspaper clipping appears to be from a Swedish newspaper, as much as I can read the text at the top of the page!

Louis: wouldn't it be great? I imagine myself as that guy on the end - hanging out over nothing, travelling at so many thousand kph, and having that amazing view!
