I'm sure all those colours are what grandma sees first thing in the morning......or last thing at night after a few dops of brandy! Stunning pics as always! How long are you staying this time??
DL and Taunted: I believe that the Burj is something that you do have to experience at least once to appreciate the scale of the structure and to marvel at how tacky it is!
CG (aka Thelma!): welcome back!
Pandabonium: yup - it's out of the 70s decor in the bar - a cross between Saturday Night Fever and Tron!
Jin: we've been and gone again - now back in Berlin. But we'll be back again before Christmas.
Wendy: these images are pretty much straight as I saw them. The only one that I've manipulated in PhotoShop is the last one which I oversharpened to get that effect. The other 3 are as it was - a mixture of reflections and the ceiling lights.
Omar: Welcome to our blog and thanks so much for your info on Yemen on your blog. We really look forward to visiting there just as soon as we can arrange it. I love your images!
kj: thanks! When are Di and hubby due back?
long distance (aka: Louise!) and inmotion: thanks and welcome to our blog!
Over-sharpened - okay, that makes sense. It's a great photo. Hey, I'm not blogging much this week - in fact I delete as much as I post it seems. Things are happening in Suva today - started with disarming the Police Tactical Response. The @#$#$^&(%$! W.

Very cool...and very colourful :)
Surreal! Especially the last one.
/me wearing my CSI hat: I see traces of photoshop here ;)
YUMMMYYYY! And very colourful. Glad to see you're back posting :)
Thanks team!
SS: we've been so busy since being back in Dubai, plus we haven't been doing anything that's really been bloggable, until last night!
Moryarti CSI: Yes, but only one! Which image has been photoshopped? (apart from adding the borders etc!) :-)
Nice pics!
Do you know, when I lived in Dubai, I never went into the Burj. I have no idea why, I guess it's just something I never got round to doing!
I'm hoping to get a holiday over there sometime next year so it will be on my 'to do' list!
Very nice indeed.
Now that's not tacky at all is it?
The fruit and wine look tempting. The lighting reminds me too much of the 70's... like, wow, with light like these, who needs drugs...

Stunning pics as always!

So how did you do it with these photos? super-real colours and shapes. Are we back in the 70th though?

I do apologise for having taken so long to reply to your comment on Yemen; I have been rather tied up with family matters.
These photos are just super! Your blog is both informative and fun to read.
